Akoya is a bijoux residential tower in North Sydney by boutique developer 9Springs . Situated on the fringe of the bustling Pacific Highway, Akoya is an oasis of calm within a central Sydney precinct. Rothelowman’s design frames life in Akoya around rituals - arrivals and departures, the way we start and end each day. The campaign for the project centres around these rituals, specifically at the two times of day lives typically follow domestic routines - morning and evening.

Each of the CGIs developed for the campaign showcases a space in morning or evening light with styling that hints of rituals that could be taking place at this moment in time. This mirrors TNG’s branding approach and brochure layout; two equal halves, each telling a story of the wider experience that a life at Akoya enables. Bright Sydney light floods the morning interiors, while softer purplish dusk lighting evokes a sense of jewelry-box magic to the evening scenes.

The external 3D renders tell a visual story of context and place, while subtly showcasing the projects strengths. The timing of the photographed context was crucial for morning render to ensure the project was completely bathed in light, leaving the taller buildings to the east in shadow to reduce the impression of bulk. The dusk external render tells its own story, with existing landmarks firmly anchoring the project within this well-connected precinct. The activation of the streets is subtle, giving the impression of a quiet street in the morning and motion-blurred bustling activity in the evening.
